Day 9 Repost: Still tired but lets try this again!

Friday 9th September 2016

So I missed my Day 9 post due to being so Tired and I wasn’t really feeling like sharing. Day 10 hasn’t been much better and the first meal I actually ate was dinner. Still Meat Free but not exactly great for dieting. Read more about Day 10 here.

The morning of Day 9 was always going to be difficult. It was a Friday and after having Thursday off work I was back for a single day. I was also super Tired still when I got up as i’d managed to surf YouTube till ‘silly o clock’ again. One day ill work out what makes me Tired all the time. *cough* Rephrase that – one day my brain will lean to switch off better so I’m not as tired 🙂

Breakfast

ASDA Vitamin Boosting Yogurt Drinks - Strawberry

ASDA Vitamin Boosting Yogurt Drinks – Strawberry

Tried to get some of the stuff in the fridge used up today so thought I’d crack off the rest of these yogurts. I’m still not sold on the flavor but hopefully upping it to three will keep me going for a while!

Lunch

Salad & Houmous with Quorn Meat Free Southern Fried Escalopes

Salad & Houmous with Quorn Meat Free Southern Fried Escalopes

For a change I’ve added some ‘Meat’ to my salad. I’ve always been skeptical of the whole Quorn situation and talked it down with ‘Meatist’ comments. But these escalopes were actually top draw. They are perfectly flavored and even though I cooked them the night before the texture was on point. Even after this challenge I think I would buy these over the normal ones as at least these aren’t made form Mechanically Reclaimed Meat or some scrapings or crap off a machine.

Snacks

Velvet Crunch Thai Sweet Chilli

Trying a new snack with these Velvets – I swear I’ve had these before but don’t remember the packaging. Very agreeable and almost too moreish. 8/10 would nom again 🙂

Harvest Cheweee White Chocolate Chip

Harvest Cheweee White Chocolate Chip

The trusty Cheweee bar returns! This little bastards are dangerous and ‘1 more’ is never enough. I’m pretty sure if left unchecked I could smash a box of these back to back. Luckily for me I only had 1 on me so restraint was easier.

Morrisons Seedless Red Grapes

Morrisons Seedless Red Grapes

Grapes! Who doesn’t fucking love a Grape. Am I right? Apparently I was reading today that some scientists believe these Delicious Pockets of Yum are actually bad for dieting?! Who knew a fucking fruit that is secretly trying to kill you. Didn’t stop me eating the whole box though. Delicious Evil Bastards…

Morrisions Cashews

Morrisions Cashews

An impulsive pick up at lunchtime but a handful of these was a brilliant pick me up for a Friday!

Exercise

So because I like to be Top Dad and you can never beat the feeling of making your child smile I took Teddy for a walk and to the park tonight. A casual bit of PokemonGo playing might have happened as well! We also decided to pop into Tesco and pick up a new Toy Car for Teddy and some Potpourri for Mummy because you can never have enough Brownie Points 🙂

Dinner – tired and grouchy

I visited the Kebab Shop tonight and didn’t get anything for myself. Its the small victories like this that make you feel awesome.

I was in a funny mood and wasn’t feeling dinner. After being reminded that if I didn’t eat something I’d probably consume my weight in junk I caved and reached for my first soup of the Diet. I wished I hadn’t.

Tesco Chunky Minestrone Soup

Tesco Chunky Minestrone Soup

Now I like potato as much as the next person. But give me uncooked potato and you will ruin the meal and I’ll refuse to eat it. It’ll be good day to you sir and I’ll up and leave.

In this soup the potato was so raw I’m pretty sure thrown hard enough it could break a window. I wasn’t a massive fan of the uncooked carrot either. After soaking up the juice with bread and eating the pasta I will not be buying this again. Fuck me I remembered there’s still one in the fridge. I’ll let it go out of date.

27 Meals down – 63 to go!!!
